You can use strawberry jam in many dishes like spread for breads, in trifle, parfait and in roll cake. I added the jam in the strawberry shortcake and it was delicious. Here, I added a little extra lemon juice for the tartness and added a little less sugar. Because I don't like overly sweet jam. You can definitely adjust the sugar according to your taste and sweetness of the strawberries. Sice we are not adding any preservatives, this can stay good more than a month in refrigerator. Make this homemade jam with no preservative, no artificial flavor and enjoy!!!

4Now, increase the flame into high. Allow the mixture to boil. It may overflow while boiling initially, so don't use a small pan. Stir it in between and scrape the sides often to avoid sticking and burning at the bottom. After 10 to 15 minutes the mixture will get thicken and it will be covered with full of bubbles. Check the consistency.

5The jam has to be thick and at the same time it has to little flowy when you pour the jam. Once it is starts to cool down, it will thicken a little bit. Now the jam is ready. Let it cool down completely. After that store this jam in a clean glass jar. Use it whenever you want!!

NOTES

If you don't like seeds in your jam, you can strain the mixture through the strainer after grind.

I added 2 tablespoon lemon juice to make it a little sour and it complements well to the sugar. You can also decrease the lemon juice to 1 tablespoon if you want.

Store the jam in a clean glass jar and use a dry spoon every time you take takeout.

This will stay good for more than a month in the refrigerator.

I added only 3/4 cup of sugar as I don't like the extra sweetness in the jam like the store bought ones. So you can add add another 1/4 cup of sugar if you want.
