Aval Upma / Poha Upma

Aval/Poha Upma Recipe by GoSpicy.net Aval/Poha Upma Recipe by GoSpicy.net

Aval Upma - Aval/Poha/Flattened rice cooked with mixed vegetables and some spices. It can be eaten as a breakfast.

Usually, Aval Upma can be done within five minutes if you are not adding any vegetables. In this recipe I am adding vegetables so it can take some time to make this dish, still it can be done within 30 minutes. I will definitely post the simpler version also. Since breakfast is an important meal of the day, including vegetables in your food is healthy too. Avoid thin aval for this recipe, it will become mushy. We don't want that to happen so use thick aval.

Lets see how I make aval upma with vegetables..

NOTES

I am using very little tomato here. That's enough for this recipe. Instead of tomato, you can add little bit of lemon juice at last.

Use thick aval/poha for this recipe.

Quick breakfast, vegetable aval upma is ready to eat. Serve hot.
